Eyeglass Recycling Center
The Eyeglass Recycling Center is one of only 11 centers worldwide. Over one million pairs of glasses are processed annually at the Center, with over 450,000 pairs being sent to developing countries. Eyeglasses received at the eyeglass facility at Lions Camp are sorted, cleaned, categorized, bagged, and boxed in preparation for shipment to developing countries.

Qualified personnel fit eyeglasses to their needs as nearly as possible. There are millions of people in the world today who need eyeglasses to see clearly. Globally, one child in four cannot see well enough to learn to read without glasses. By age 40, 90% of adults experience a decrease in the ability to read print and need eyeglasses. Many developing countries lack the resources to manufacture quality lenses. The cost of imported eyeglasses is far beyond the means of the average citizen. Millions will fail to reach their economic, educational, and social potential without access to quality eyeglasses. Anyone can contribute to the Eyeglass Project. Just drop your used eyeglasses in a Lions collection box or give them to a Lions member. They can also be sent to: WILERC3834 County Rd.
