2022 Camper Eligibility, Applications, Deadlines and More

Even though we’ve only just begun 2022, Wisconsin Lions Foundation is already hard at work planning and preparing for the arrival of our Campers this spring and summer. We’ve taken the time to write down everything you need to know about this year’s Camp processes—from applications, to eligibility and important deadlines.

Eligibility

Camp programs are provided to participants free-of-charge and we aim to provide high quality experiences, foster connection, and create an environment of success for all. Because each of our camps is dedicated to serving a specific population, we do have eligibility requirements for each, which can be found on our Camp website.

A professional who works with the camper needs to fill out part of the application to verify the disability of all youth camps, except for campers with disabilities or epilepsy.

If you have questions on eligibility or verification, please reach out to our Camp Director, Andrea Yenter, at ayenter@wisconsinlionscamp.com or 715-677-4969 ext. 319.

Camper Application Process

Online or paper Camper applications will be available January 24 for all camps except Youth with Diabetes. Please reach out to our main office directly for a paper application. Young Adults with Intellectual Disabilities will receive their applications the week of January 24, as their lottery has closed. The Youth with Diabetes lottery is open until February 1 and more information can be found on the Camp website.

Returning campers will be emailed or mailed application process information when applications are available.

Additional application items to note:

  • Before applying, ensure campers meet the eligibility guidelines specified on the desired Camp’s webpage. All applications will be reviewed for eligibility and a camper’s ability to have success at Camp.
  • There is a $25 refundable application deposit, which will be refunded on arrival day (adult campers) or moved into a camper store account (youth campers).
  • Although we would love to accept every camper’s application, applications are accepted on a first come, first-serve basis until Camp is full, or we reach our application deadline. Due to the demand of applications and our full attention to running camp once it starts, we unfortunately cannot process applications after our deadline. Deadlines for each camp are listed on applications.
  • Confirmation of your application will be sent if the camper is accepted. If camper is not accepted, you will receive a letter and refund for your application.

For questions on our application process, please contact our Lions Camp Administrative Assistant, Michelle Kruzicki at mkruzicki@wisconsinlionscamp.com or 715-677-4969 ext. 314.

We are excited to get this year’s applications rolling. Our Camp staff can’t wait to welcome back returning campers for more memories and experiences, and to our new campers: we can’t wait to meet you!
