The Wisconsin Lions Foundation is proud to report that our Wisconsin Lions Camp has had yet another successful Summer Camp season. This year, we were able to serve 633 Youth and Adult Campers. Here’s a further breakdown of our Camp season and important dates for the Wisconsin Lions Camp 2023 Season.
2022 Wisconsin Lions Camp Numbers
We create a yearly Who’s Who report with detailed information about our Campers, which you can view at the
The Wisconsin Lions Foundation serves central populations of campers: blind or visually impaired, intellectual disabilities or autism, deaf or hard of hearing, with epilepsy, and with diabetes. In 2022, Lions Camp hosted 10 weeks of Camp out of a scheduled 11—one week was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID.
Of our 633 campers, 36% were 18+, 34% were 14-17 years old, 25% were 10-13 years old and 5% were between the ages of six and nine. There was also an incredible 78% of campers who were returning from previous seasons. We love to have familiar faces at Camp, year after year.
Each year, we also like to keep track of how many campers attend from each Wisconsin Lions District. In 2022, we welcomed the following campers from each District:
A1: 109 C2: 13
A2: 99 D1: 79
B1: 90 D2: 32
B2: 101 E1: 23
